Act Two

THINKING OF YOU – We are at the burned ruins of the Carnival. Sophia appears, wearing a red dress and a large, red cape. Her cuprite stone glows a bright red. She is learning that the stone is fueled by her anger, giving her powers beyond her imagination. She slowly begins to transform the Carnival workers into her minions, with the members of the “Fabulous Five”, which includes Robin, being turned into Shadow Creatures. Meanwhile, we have a glimpse of what the children’s parents are going through in their quest to find their children at any cost, as they follow the clues that Mandie has inadvertently left behind. They sing of their pain as they search for their missing children.

Alone and lost, Eric and Beth have a heated argument about their situation FREEDOM – Eric, in a fit of rage, runs off to find Robin, leaving Beth and Mandie to fend for themselves.

The next day we find Beth in a large mansion, sleeping in a very comfortable bed. She and Mandie have been rescued by Anna-Bella and her nice, Suzanne. They are overwhelmed by servants and every luxury they could desire – MAGIC – Beth senses that something is very wrong. At the end of the song, she has finally had enough and insists that she and Mandie be allowed to leave. Anna-Bella brings in Eric, who knows the truth and tries to warn Beth. Too late. Anna-Bella reveals that she is in fact, Sophia and Suzanne is Nova – CHANCES. Using the power from her Cuprite stone, she then places a curse on the children – LOST SOULS. The room clears, leaving the three alone. Mandie’s innocence shields her from the power of the curse. Longing for her beloved Teddy Bear, she finds an inner strength that will guide her in the future – TEDDY.

Mandie has become a thorn in Sophia’s side, as she uses all of her experience as a little kid to be the brat that Sophia despises. Constantly being chased throughout the mansion, she feeds and encourages Beth and Eric to find the strength to break the spell. Robin has found a way to step in and out of her Shadow, and Nova has been secretly working with Robin. Nova and the three children are chased and caught by the Shadow Creatures – SHADOW PLAY – Mandie is captured by Robin’s shadow.

Sophia believes she finally has a curse that will put an end to Mandie once and for all. As she is bragging to them about her plan, Mandie manages to pull the Cuprite necklace off of Sophia’s neck. She throws it to the ground, where it shatters into a million pieces, causing a large explosion. When the dust settles, everyone slowly begins to awaken. Sophia is gone. The children’s parents come running on after seeing the explosion. They find Mandie up in the rafters, and are relieved that she is OK. There is a tearful reunion and lots of rejoicing – HERE WE STAND / FINALE.
